The City of West Union will have community Trick or Treating on Saturday, October 31st from 4:30-7:30pm.
If you choose to participate we recommend adhering to the following Iowa Department of Public Health guidelines (Complete guidelines can be viewed on the IDPH website):
For Community Members:
Participate in one-way trick-or-treating where individually wrapped goodies bags or factory wrapped candy is lined up for families to grab and go while continuing to social distance. This can be done on a porch, at the edge of a yard or the end of your driveway as your property permits. If you are preparing good bags or setting out candy, please wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
For Parents/Guardians taking their children trick-or-treating:
Ask your children to maintain at least 6 feet of distance from treat-givers.
Refrain from having children select their own treats from a bowl/common container, and only accept factory wrapped treats.
Do wipe off factory wrapped candy with sanitizing wipes when you arrive home.
