The North Fayette High School Student Exchange Program
We currently provide four separate exchange programmes with European schools. Since 1983, we have exchanged student with the Uberlingen Gymnasium, located in Uberlingen/Bodensee, Germany. We started two more programmes in 1985-1986 with two United Kingdom schools. These include Clitheroe Royal Grammar School in Clitheroe, Lancashire and Halesowen, West Midlands. In 1988 we started our first Spanish exchange with La Guia School, in Vigo, Pontevedra, Spain.
The only direct cost to the individual is round trip airfare, for which we receive special group rates. Students also participate in fundraising events. Students pay the costs of passports and each NF host student family pays $50 to our school to help to defray the costs of special tours, tickets, and transportation for our guest students and sponsor. Over 40% of our graduating seniors will have participated in our oversea exchange.
